summer weddings

Sarah and Phils wedding..........soo pretty,beautifully styled vintage wedding.I loved creating Sarahs flowers,peonies and roses.The reception was held in a marquee next to the beach at her mums house in Elie.Loads of tumblers,vases china jugs and cups etc,with red as the theme.



FLOWER CLASSES...........During the summer we will be holding FLOWER CLASSES on Wednesdays and Thursdays.times can be arranged to suit .

LEARN how to do a handtie,tips on flowers,colours,simple arrangements to take home.

You get use lovely summer flowers with a country garden feel and ideas for your home.

Normally a 2 hour class...£80......this includes all your flowers which you take home,coffee and cake!

Lots of wedding excitement from the Royal wedding in April............to 4 weddings this month.

Had lots of fun supplying flowers for the Royal Breakfast in St Andrews,the photos are great.

Have at last managed to conquer technology and create facebook page for Twigs & twine.


You have no idea how this feels for someone ..a florist...who finds writing wonderful especially about flowers and weddings and design...............but not so keen on the buttons and arrows and tabs and instructions!!!!

I love the fact Baileys beautiful pics are now on view ....just to how many people im not so sure that I need to work on!!
any advice will gratefully be received....


She has made my posies look wonderful.............have lots so more to come.

February Update

At last have managed the technology.well almost...I will not admit to how long its taken me.....no I wont!
have as I said eventually posted some pics.....successat long last!

hopefully shall be getting some professional pics of the December wedding ,which includes the white bridal posy,and 6   yes  6  bridesmaids holding lovely dark purple tulips ..pic on my facebook page....
for the reception gorgeous vases filled with pinks and purples so pics coming soon.


the spring theme has started and at last new spring flowers which hopefully will help cheer us up as have had enough of the ice and very very cold weather.

beautiful anemonies.iris in season now so puts me in the mood for all those spring weddings around the corner.

I have to complete some planning for a number of weddings and so its lovely to look forward to warmer weather.

Valentines is around the corner,so preparing for all that............lovely pinks and liliacs,you dont just have to consider red red red!!!!

have wedding fair coming up on 20th february.....more to do for that...busy busy

As we are already in the middle of January I must try and get some pics of all the lovely flowers I did for xmas and especially the wedding at Craigsanquar on dec 18 2010.the colours were super purpley with pinksand touches of grey .......the theme was scottish but not twee.......so the beautiful bride anne had white roses no foliage for her bouquet,and the six yes six bridesmaids had beautiful purple tulips only.
table flowers looked lovely mix of roses,thistle, eucalyptus ,hydrangea,brassica in glass vases tied with dark tartan ribbon.I was really pleased with the overall look and happily Anne was delighted.
The next day was really heavy snow so very very glad we just missed that.

Will really try and get pics up asap....

Have been thinking about future dates for my flower classes,so will complete this shortly and let you know.............

So happy with response,so far to the classes,and it will be so nice working with spring flowers,,,yummy tulips,ranunculus and sweet smelling  hyacinth........cant wait.

Xmas was a very busy time apart from all the usual xmas bouquets, I had a lovely wedding one week before.
